About this course

This course will help you use the internet to investigate your family history.

Course entry requirements

This course is not for complete beginners. You will need to be able to use the keyboard and mouse with ease and have a basic understanding of the internet.

You will need a good level of reading and writing in English and be able to understand written and spoken instructions. You will need to read and understand handouts and on screen information and be able to work independently.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to use the internet to access online records and historical sites. You will be able to create a tree of your own family history.

Assessment and accreditation

There is no assessment for this course but you will receive a certificate upon completion.

What should I bring?

A pen and a note pad.
