The practice of Yoga reaches back into the mists of time, no one is quite sure where it began but it has been around for at least 5,000 years.
Course entry requirementsThere are no entry requirements, you do not have to be fit and there are no age limits to Yoga. What will I learn?Yoga is a very intense, but gentle series of postures and stretches which are designed to tone and activate every muscle and organ within the body. At the same time the movements are calming the mind and so they are allowing the body to relax and become de-stressed.
Assessment and accreditationThe tutor will ask you to complete a health assessment at the start of the course to make sure the course meets your requirements. The tutor maintains a course assessment sheet to see how you are progressing. She may also use a video or digital camera to record learning. There are no certificates or exams. What should I bring?Learners should dress comfortably in clothes that do not restrict mobility. Some people buy keep fit costumes and leggings. No shoes are required, most people bring a bedroll to sit on.
