Overview

Functional Skills at Levels 1 and 2 will provide you with the practical English skills needed to operate confidently, effectively and independently in life, education and work. At Levels 1 and 2, Functional Skills qualifications are recognised by employers and education providers in the same way as GCSE qualifications.

Please note: Exams take place in central Middlesbrough.

Timings

Daytime classes

  • You will attend two classroom-based lessons in central Middlesbrough and two online lessons for 8 to 12 hours each week. Each level will take approximately 6 to 12 weeks to complete.

Evening classes (Tuesday 6:00pm – 9:00pm)

  • You will attend one 2.5 hour online lesson and complete homework issued by your tutor each week. Each level will take approximately 20 weeks to complete.
