MLC Academies are education and training packages linked to local jobs.
We’re currently offering Cleaning, Hospitality, Care & Support and Security Academies. All four are delivered from Multi-Media Exchange, our learning centre in central Middlesbrough, opposite Jobcentre Plus on Corporation Road.
Our academies last for one to two weeks, and often include:
- Introduction to relevant sector i.e. cleaning, care, support, housing, hospitality or security
- Effective Communication Skills
- Manual Handling
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
- Basic Life Support (First Aid)
- Level 1 Food Hygiene
- Short work placement or work trial
- Guaranteed interview, interview support and reference
- Help with DBS checks
- Safeguarding
- Digital Skills (care and support)
- Basic DIY (care and support)
